Review: Exposed Envy Bra Accessories.

Underwear is meant to be worn  under your clothes. Hence the name. I am not a fan of pants on the ground or thongs hanging out from the back. I also do not like my bra straps showing. It just looks unkempt and kind of trashy.

Here in Florida we are blessed with weather that allows us to wear cutesy, sleeveless tops practically year round.  Problem is that a) I hate strapless bras and b) strapless bras hate me! I'm not kidding.  They do not stay on. Within minutes, it slides down practically to my waist.  Going bra-less is not an option either. So what's a girl to do? I do have the clear straps and for the most part, I'm okay with them. But if I'm going to wear those, why not go a step further and wear something cute & fashionable instead?

With Exposed Envy Bra Accessories, I can wear my bra, still get the support needed and look cute in the process!  Exposed Envy supplied me with two sets of straps for review. I received the
Pink, White and Apricot Print Fabric Bra Straps & the Red Garnet and Crystal Rhinestone Bra Straps.

My daughter promptly stole the printed ones. She wore it with a pink top and the straps matched perfectly. You could not tell that they were bra straps.  Now, you have to be willing to alter the look of your clothes.  For example, your strapless top, will no longer look strapless. But, you will have fashionable straps to accent the top for a whole new look. They attach easily to any strapless or convertible bra. Plus they are adjustable!

The rhinestone straps that I received are gorgeous! I just wish I had an opportunity to wear them.  I'm sure these will look fabulous with a black, white or red cocktail/evening dress. Definitely for evenings, too much bling for daytime. They lay flat and are not  uncomfortable at all. Thing is, we don't have any fancy, schmancy events coming up any time soon. There is one suggestion that I would make for the rhinestone straps though.  Hook the straps to the back first, then put on the bra, bring the straps over shoulders and then hook them to the front.  Since they are not elasticized, I think that this would be the best way. At least it was for me.

Here are a few of my personal favorites:
Bohemian Brown & Black Bra Beaded Straps Retail $22
I love,love, love the Bohemian Brown and Black Beaded Straps.  Those are totally my style. As you can see in the picture, they look great with an off the shoulder peasant top. I have tons of tops like these and I normally have to slide the straps down so they don't show.  Very uncomfortable. I actually like most of the beaded straps and would love to see them in Turquoise too.

Designer Eyelet Silver Bra Straps Retail $18
Reversible Fabric Sparkle Bra Straps Retail $10 or 3 for $25

These reversible straps are just too stinkin' cute! It would be great to have them in all colors.

All in all, I liked the concept of the product even though you are altering the look of your outfit. But sometimes, that is a good thing. You can wear the same top, for example, and change the look each time by wearing different straps. It's functional yet fashionable.

Review & Giveaway: Stikins™ by Label Lighthouse

I am a bit obsessed with "tagging" my personal items. Been that way since I was a kid. I would write my name on everything! My mom would get upset because I would use an ink pen to write my name on my tennis shoes.  As I got older, I graduated to just my initials. But it still wasn't pretty.

When my girls started pre-school my use of Sharpies was rampant.  Their name was on everything! Sippy cups, bottles, toys, clothing, backpacks... you name it! Problem was, especially with clothing, that consignment shops would generally not take those items that were marked.So I was out a bit of $$$ because of that.

So now, I may have found a solution! I was recently sent samples of Stikins™ by Label Lighthouse for review. At first glance, they looked like regular sticky labels and I wondered how they would hold up to the claims. The literature states that Stikins™ are advanced, no iron & no sew labels. They are said to withstand the washer, the dryer, microwave & the dishwasher! Well, I was skeptical and just had to put them to the test! So the first thing I did was stick one on the care tag of a shirt and another on a water bottle. The instructions state to wait 24 hours before washing, so I did. After a day and a half, I put them in the wash! After a wash & dry cycle, the labels on both looked exactly as they did when I put them on! The labels weren't peeling off and the print was not smudged. For the sake of testing, I also, removed the label from the bottle and it came off with no residue left behind.

Stikin™ labels are small, only 1-3/16" x 9/16". You get two lines with up to 14 characters each. They are easy to use, just peel and stick. Plus you can stick it on anything. Just one label for everything. No need to buy different labels for different uses.
Another thing that I like about these labels, is that they're nondescript. Just plain little white labels with black letters. You can use one set for everyone  or get several sets, one for each member of the family. You won't have to stick Dora the Explorer stickers on your husband's coffee mug that he takes to work.The guys at the station would have a field day with that one!Sort of like when I secretly changed his ringtone to "If I Only Had a Brain". But I digress...

Stikins™ are great to use on anything! I personally used them on my craft tools, so that I could easily identify my stuff at crops. I also used them for my nephew's sippy cups and clothing that he takes to daycare. Stikins™ would also be great for Summer camps. This way everything that goes to camp, returns home. Hopefully. Plus, if you sell your stuff on consignment, like I do, you won't have to worry about a Sharpie tattoos! I am now sticking Stikins™ on every Tupperware container that leaves my house! Those things seem to grow legs and go home with other people. Cheaters!

You can order Stikins™ from Label Lighthouse. They come in two package sizes. The Starter package is $24.95 for 60 labels and the Super package is $39.95 for 120 labels. Both package prices include standard shipping to the U.S. & Canada.

GIVEAWAY!

Lena at Label Lighthouse is generously offering a Super Package ($39.95) to giveaway to one lucky reader! That's 120 Stikins™ so that you too can go label crazy! You might even want to slap one on your significant other's forehead in case they get lost!

Review & Giveaway: T.Taio for Bath & Shower

A quick peek in my shower would reveal a large assortment of products. Aside from the typical shampoo, conditioner, & soap, I also have shower gels, in-shower lotion, facial scrubs & poufs. To say that I am obsessed is an understatement.

I was recently given the opportunity to try an assortment of T.TAio Bath & Shower products. I felt like a kid in a candy store! Obviously, I have not tried every sample in such a short period of time. I will, however post my opinion on the products that I have used.

T.TAio is based in Mexico and is expanding to the U.S. & Canada. When you reach their website, you can click on the shopping cart with the U.S. flag and you will be redirected to their online store. The website is not really difficult to navigate, but it could be easier.
The product description on the packages are in Spanish with English translation right below it. Except for the Soap Sponges, but you can always see the description on the website.

Scrubber

I received (3) scrubbers, two of which are basically the same except for the size. The rectangle ones are scrubbers on both sides. The  Exfoliating Round Dual Texture Scrubber, is a scrubber on one side and the other side is smooth.  I  chose the round one to try first.

The sponge lathers up really well. With the scrubber, you can exfoliate dead skin to reveal fresh, smooth and radiant skin.  It is also a great way to stimulate circulation. I have heard that supposedly this kind of action on your thighs can reduce cellulite, but I cannot comment on that. I really liked the scrubber. My skin feels not only smoother, but cleaner as well. You control the amount of exfoliation and I definitely wouldn't recommend scrubbing your skin raw.
I also used the Exfoliating Bath & Shower Back Scrubber which is great for, um, ,,,your back!

I like the scrubbers way better than shower poufs. The prices aren't much more than that of the poufs, if not less than the poufs. Remember to replace scrubbers regularly, about every 45 days or so.

Soap Sponge

I received (4) different Soap Sponge. They are all made with vegetable glycerin, which has excellent moisturizing properties. The best way to describe this product is a sponge infused with soap.  At first glance it looks like a regular bar of soap. Once you wet it and lather it up, you realize that this is no ordinary bar of soap.  I used the Oatmeal and my daughter used the Aloe Vera. We both really liked these soaps.  They have a very light natural scent, so if you like fragrance, you might want to use a scented moisturizer or spritz after your shower.  It left my skin feeling really clean, literally, squeaky clean. We both even used it on our face and  liked the gentle exfoliation while cleansing. This is great for blackheads and other impurities. As with all soaps, avoid getting it in your eyes. The Soap Sponge feels a bit different in your hand but it is easy to handle and is not slippery. I will definitely be buying more in the future. The soap sponge lasts for about 30 days, depending on frequency of use of course.

GIVEAWAY! (CLOSED)

You too can have the opportunity to try these products.  Just check out the T.TAio website and tell me which product you think you would like to try. Leave your comment before 11:59 PM on Tuesday 2/22 Thursday 2/24.  (Due to tech glitches with comment form, date has been extended) I will use a random number generator to choose a winner.

Please provide an e-mail address. The winner will receive a Bath & Shower Scrubber & a Soap Sponge for free! Giveaway is open to U.S. & Canada only.

If you don't win and would still like to try these products, T.TAio is running a great promo.  Buy any Bath & Shower Scrubber and get a Soap Sponge for FREE! Use Promo Code: GLAM10

If you try it, let me know how you liked it!

Review: Thomas' Bagel Thins

For a person that doesn't really eat breakfast, I have been reviewing quite a few breakfast products recently. Just to clarify, I don't eat eggs & I don't drink milk. My typical breakfast includes a bagel, slathered with cream cheese. Or dry cereal, no milk. Since I am trying to cut down on caloric intake, I had stopped having my bagels and I wasn't a happy camper

I am a BzzAgent and occasionally receive products (or coupons) to review & spread the word. In this case, I received a coupon to obtain a free package of Thomas' Bagel Thins. I was so happy to learn that each bagel thin only has 110 calories! Regular bagels contain about 260 calories. Now, the carbs are still there at 25g per bagel thin. But considering that standard bagels contain 51g of carbs, I think that's a great option for cutting down.
The bagel thins also contain:
* 0g Trans Fat
* Cholesterol Free
* Good Source of Fiber
* Low Fat

Bagel Thins toast up nice & crispy. I don't know if it's just my toaster, but they seemed to toast faster. So keep an eye out so you you don't end up with burned bagel thins. I honestly like the thins. They taste like bagels to me. I do miss my chewy bagels, but I can definitely get used to these. Especially if I can reach my weight-loss goals without sacrificing too much. In my experience, if I completely get rid of my favorite food items, I end up cheating on my diet. Big time. I am now experimenting with toppings, including low fat cream cheese. Any yummy and guilt-free suggestions?

The Thomas' Bagel Thins give me my bagel fix with half the calories and carbs. They are available in 100% Whole Wheat, Plain, Cinnamon Raisin & Everything (variety of seeds, garlic and onions).
