Bic Gel-ocity Gel Pens

I recently had the opportunity to try the Bic Gel-ocity retractable gel pens. I received a package of three pens for free from Smiley360 to try and review.



The pens are retractable. I pretty much prefer this over caps for several reasons. Mainly because I don't always cap my pens tightly enough or I just lose the caps. These pens write really smooth and they dry really quick. No smears or smudges, mean a more professional and neat look. The colors are vibrant too.

I use gel pens often in my scrapbooking and card making. I look forward to purchasing more colors and build up my collection.

Who is this product for?

I have been using the product for about three weeks now. I started by using it in the morning and again before going to bed. I found that during the day, my skin would get tingly and itchy while
outdoors. Even with sunscreen. So I decided to just use it in the evening.

My exfoliatiors usually include some sort of granules. The Paula's Choice Skin Perfecting 2% BHA Liquid is well, a liquid. I use cotton or a pad to apply. Initially, my skin feels a bit oily but that fades off after about 10 minutes or so. I decided to not use moisturizer afterwards because of this. But then I did notice that my skin felt a bit dry with more frequent use, so I started to moisturizer afterwards again.

Results after just three weeks are difficult to gauge.  However, my skin does feel smoother and looks healthier. Also, I don't know if it's my imagination, but the sun spots appear quite a bit lighter. I plan to continue using the Paula's Choice Skin Perfecting 2% BHA Liquid until I am done with the bottle that I received. I like the idea of a liquid exfoliant as opposed to granules. If I see continued improvement, especially with the sun spots, I will try another bottle.

I also received 5 sample size bottles that I shared with friends. Four out of five of them have reported good results. Including smoother skin and less break outs. It didn't seem to do much for one of my friends though. Plus she reported that it irritated her skin. She does have very sensitive skin though. So I would suggest a patch test as reactions and results will vary.

Reveal Men by Calvin Klein

I was recently givin the opportunity to try Calvin Klein's new fragrance for men, Reveal Men thanks to Influenster. My initial impression was not very positive. The scent was a bit too fruity for my taste and not quite what I'm used to in a men's scent. I generally lean towards more musky/woody scents for men. However, after a dried on my husband's skin, the scent softened up a bit and it was more pleasing. Plus, it lasted quite a long time.

Although, Reveal Men would not be my first choice of fragrance for my husband, I would not mind if he wore it. Actually, he did like it himself. So I don't doubt that he will wear it often. Like with many things, scent preference is subjective. What I like might not be what you like. And vice versa. eSalon, Color Me Pretty (Review)

Here's the thing. Once you start coloring your hair, you just can't stop. Especially since my hair grows so freakin' fast and dark roots just don't look sexy at all. Plus once the greys start popping up, that just adds to my woes. The trouble with having to touch up my roots every 3 weeks is that going to the salon every 3 weeks or so, is just not in my budget. So I usually end up buying a box of one size fits all at Target. Plus, if you're as lucky as me, you will purchase a box that someone decided to switch the color as joke, and end up with jet black hair like I did one time. Trust me, it was not fun at all!

So how did I like it? Well, the color was perfect! It was easy to apply and the scent was not horrible. After all was said and done, my roots matched the rest of my hair and my hair felt soft too. Grey coverage was pretty good too. Just a couple of shiny stragglers. I like the gloves that they supply, professional quality. The ones that come in the store bought box are like cellophane and sized to fit a large bear or maybe Mickey Mouse. I also like that they supply stain guard and stain remover.
