Review & Giveaway: T.Taio for Bath & Shower

A quick peek in my shower would reveal a large assortment of products. Aside from the typical shampoo, conditioner, & soap, I also have shower gels, in-shower lotion, facial scrubs & poufs. To say that I am obsessed is an understatement.

I was recently given the opportunity to try an assortment of T.TAio Bath & Shower products. I felt like a kid in a candy store! Obviously, I have not tried every sample in such a short period of time. I will, however post my opinion on the products that I have used.

T.TAio is based in Mexico and is expanding to the U.S. & Canada. When you reach their website, you can click on the shopping cart with the U.S. flag and you will be redirected to their online store. The website is not really difficult to navigate, but it could be easier.
The product description on the packages are in Spanish with English translation right below it. Except for the Soap Sponges, but you can always see the description on the website.

Scrubber

I received (3) scrubbers, two of which are basically the same except for the size. The rectangle ones are scrubbers on both sides. The  Exfoliating Round Dual Texture Scrubber, is a scrubber on one side and the other side is smooth.  I  chose the round one to try first.

The sponge lathers up really well. With the scrubber, you can exfoliate dead skin to reveal fresh, smooth and radiant skin.  It is also a great way to stimulate circulation. I have heard that supposedly this kind of action on your thighs can reduce cellulite, but I cannot comment on that. I really liked the scrubber. My skin feels not only smoother, but cleaner as well. You control the amount of exfoliation and I definitely wouldn't recommend scrubbing your skin raw.
I also used the Exfoliating Bath & Shower Back Scrubber which is great for, um, ,,,your back!

I like the scrubbers way better than shower poufs. The prices aren't much more than that of the poufs, if not less than the poufs. Remember to replace scrubbers regularly, about every 45 days or so.

Soap Sponge

I received (4) different Soap Sponge. They are all made with vegetable glycerin, which has excellent moisturizing properties. The best way to describe this product is a sponge infused with soap.  At first glance it looks like a regular bar of soap. Once you wet it and lather it up, you realize that this is no ordinary bar of soap.  I used the Oatmeal and my daughter used the Aloe Vera. We both really liked these soaps.  They have a very light natural scent, so if you like fragrance, you might want to use a scented moisturizer or spritz after your shower.  It left my skin feeling really clean, literally, squeaky clean. We both even used it on our face and  liked the gentle exfoliation while cleansing. This is great for blackheads and other impurities. As with all soaps, avoid getting it in your eyes. The Soap Sponge feels a bit different in your hand but it is easy to handle and is not slippery. I will definitely be buying more in the future. The soap sponge lasts for about 30 days, depending on frequency of use of course.

Meet Mark: Body Care that Cares

There are many, many brands of body care items out on the market, but not many are Fair Trade Certified™ . Products which are Fair Trade Certified™, promote fair prices, safe working conditions and funds for community development for the millions of farmers who grow and source products like Mexican honey, Indian white tea, Peruvian cocoa butter and Egyptian hibiscus. By using products that are Fair Trade Certified™, you help support the future of the planet and the people living in it.

I was recently given the opportunity to try and review four products by mark. Appropriately named "mark. body care that cares". Each product is fragrance free and allergy tested. I personally do not care for un-scented products. But for many that are sensitive to fragrances, these products will be ideal. The good thing about fragrance-free products, is that it won't interfere with your perfumes. I used the products for a little over a week before posting this review. The following products are all formulated with Fair Trade Certified™ ingredients and antioxidants.

  • Do The Right Thing Smoothing Body Lotion SPF 15 with Fair Trade Certified™ Cocoa Butter, Honey, and Hibiscus - $12
  • I found the lotion to be light and soothing. It is easily absorbed and I LOVE that it contains sunscreen. Sunscreen is a daily must for me, I appreciate that this lotion leaves my skin hydrated but not oily. The lack of scent is the only thing that I do not like.
  • Fresh Approach Hydrating Body Cleanser with Fair Trade Certified™ Honey and White Tea - $10
  • I did not like this product as a body cleanser simply because it really does not lather up well. I used it as a facial cleanser though, and I loved it! It is light, gentle, and did not dry up my face. I also used it as a shave lotion, it worked well and did not clog up my razor.
  • The Big Fix 15-in-1 Big Benefits Balm with Fair Trade Certified™ Cocoa Butter, Olive Oil, and Vanilla - $10
  • Now this one, I absolutely LOVED! I used it on my heels & elbows. I also used it on my lips (after wiping it down!LOL) It also works well as a brow wax. All in one portable stick. Perfect for travel.
  • Relief Effort Total Comfort Body Creme with Fair Trade Certified™ Cocoa Butter, Olive Oil, and Chamomile - $14
  • This creme is wonderful as well. Again, no scent. It is thick but it is easily absorbed and keeps your skin hydrated. I live in sandals and my heels take a beating. After just 2 days of using this creme at night, my heels were smooth.
